Ocean Discovery´s first Trimix charter of the year went very well. The weather was perfect with dead calm seas and sun shine. Visibility was also great and we had about 20-30m on M/S Humber. Tobias Carlsson took some nice pictures with his new DSLR and he gave me permission to post them here, thanks Tobias.

Oops sorry! Here in english:
Thank you for a nice excursion with nice people and a nice dive. Also fine pics Tobias, I still wait for some development of my role.
I was thinking about the erkive picture of Humber. It should probably lie some more debries nearby due to the trowling damages? Mast, thunnel and the bell was probably on some sort of high arrangement. Has anyone looked around a bit further with dpv etc?

Hi Jocke!
I think this is a English part of the forum so i do my best in that language :)
We have been searching with scooters around the wreck at one dive only and took a swim around on the dive this weekend. On the scooter dive I found the compass that is now laying on the bridge, on the latest dive I found a small brass "cup", probably some kind of wall mounted lamp. I put the lamp on the bridge as well. There is more debris on the bottom on the port side, just 5-15 m away. I think that there is a lot more small things to find. The stearing wheel and all the rest of the stuff from the bridge should be somewhere. One tip is to look carefully just in front of the bridge on deck. There i some part of the cargo there but also some more stuff that I haven't have time to check out.
Really looking forward seeing your black/white photos from this weekend!
Best.

I’m sure you are right. There should be more to find around the wreck. I saw one of the ventilators on the starboard side of the ship. It has fallen down next to the ladder. Most of the cargo is on the port side of the wreck. It looks as if a trawl has swept across the wreck and damaged some of the bridge. A trawl could of course have dragged masts, ventilators, most of the instruments on the bridge and even maybe the lifeboats quite a distance but I agree that it would be interesting to search further away from the wreck. My conclusion that the crew launched the lifeboats might not be right although I feel this is most probable.
When I peeked in to the cabins, that appear to be empty, I saw that the bunks seem to have horsehair mattresses.
I had a truly enjoyable dive and weekend.
I hope to see the pictures you took. :)

It will take I while though. Special b/w slidefilm are to be developed in germany and usually takes about a month. Then scanning and uploading if they come out okey.
I really need to find a case fore my digital soon!:p

Well as the (utterly stupid) Swedish proverbs says: The one who awaits something good, never waits too long. ;)
