I visited Plura in company of my friends last year, and there was road construction going on in almost counless places along the way, I thin we counted up to 40 excavators along our trip from Stockholm. The last bit of road is completely made over, and I think they where going to asphalt the road as well if I remember correctly. When we visited, we had to wait for the excavator to fill in a huge gap inte road due to the work of laying new drain pipes. So hopefully, thiis year the roads to Plura nearby Moirana in Norway will be in perfect condition. We are planning to go there for the Plura week.

Well, this belongs better in the general cave section but, Plura was mentioned above and this was supposed to reply to that. Forgive me for beeing senile :-)

Last year Bjarte Vestöl took a solo swim for 3.5 hours, and the line is said to end at 98m.

Does anyone have more details about this?

Bjarte has to be a really tough guy... Although i think solo cave diving is not a great idea it is none the less an impressive achievement. I would love to hear more details on this.

Hi all

Well I was at Plura when he did the dive. And if i remember correctly was that the cave didnt level out! There was some line added in 2003&2004 by Peik Joutsen, but not very much. So if any one is planning to push it further you are doing a very deep dive.

Any one coming from list there this August, we have had some plans to video for the "other" side and dive to the wolf´s mouth uptil 65m.

Those that have not visited Plura for a while, there is Sauna at top of the Terrys shed (where is the compressor), also i sold a continues nitrox blending stick for him, let see if its in use. Also there is electricity at the camp site (car heaters are good for warming tents at night!)
