I am trying to set up a good DIR rig for a beginner. I have an AGIR singeltank BC etc. and a alu 80cf. The rig i supposed to be used in the baltic sea and thus together with a dry suit. The question is if it is even possible to use this tank along with above mentioned equipment. So what does the DIR community say? Is it possible, and if that is the case, how should the extra weights be placed?

All the best!

Possible yes, but you will need about 2kg more led than with a 12l steel tank.

You can put some weigths on the rig, on the tankbands or as a p-weigth. But be careful with the balance and remember you will make the rig very heavy, the nice thing with singeltank diving is that it's easy! You also need to have some ditchabel weights so a weigth belt is the way to go. Try putting some weights on the rig and some on a belt. That's how I'v done it, this way you won't break you back using the belt U/W or lifting the rig on land.
