I joined a local team to G3, a small cave up in the Norwegian mountains, last weekend, to dive it for probably the first time since the original exploration 13 years ago. It was a fun trip, well worth it although it only amounted to a Cave 1 level swim.

Anyway, the team has posted some pictures, info, and video on their homepage http://www.reelrunners.no, and a more thorough article about the cave is in the works. Johannes Flem has also taken the survey data and made a beautiful 3d model of the cave that should get posted soon as well.

Team Reelrunners have been in touch with some acedemics at the University of Bergen, and there is some talk of further survey. It seems that according to current data, the entire river has to go through that cave. However, given the lacking flow and relative amounts of silt, that seems a bit strange. Also, there are supposedly some inconclusive dye tracing results that seem to hint at a larger water resevoir.

I wish the team luck in pursuing these hints and clues... :)
