If it's not the already found "Strömskärsvraket" who is "Resande Man", then this is the dream I have!

"Resande Man" was a swedish warship on it's way to Poland with bribes for the polish king, gold, silver and precious stones. This was year 1660. They thought that this bribes was going to give them a advantage in the war. A funny thing is that the swedish king was cousin with the polish king, and they was in war with each other!

And one more ship, "Lybska Örn"

Yeah i herd a rumor that "Resande man" was found. But there is so many rumors... Can you tell me more about the "Strömskärsvraket". Why do they believe it is "Resande man"?

Where was "Lybska Örn" supposed to sink? And what was the circumstances?

”Strömskärsvraket” was found in the 80’s I think. A team from SSHM, Nynäshamn and swedish navy started an excavation on the wreck. From a C-14 check on the wood, they date it to 1660, aprox...
They also found “Stångjärn”, ironpoles on the wreck. The Captain on “Resande Man” had this onboard to earn a extra buck, according to historical documents.
The wreck lies on 22 meters depth, and that agrees with the story that” the mast was standing above sealevel when it had sunk”.
One of the guys from Nynäshamn told me that they only excavated 1/5 of the wreck, and din’t found any trace of the cargo of gold, silver and precious stones.
So if “Strömskärsvraket” is “Resande Man” is not certain.

“Lybska Örn” was according to Anders Franzén sunk at the reef “Örngrund” outside Nynäshamn. This is just a guess, according historical documents it was lost somewhere in the Baltic Sea.
But I know that some guys have found something at that reef in 50 meters of waterdepth, but what!?

Exciting, isn’t it J
