Spam on the forum

Different time zones would be a huge help in addition to someone who has the time to check into the forum a couple of times during their waking hours - right now we have Sweden, and the East coast of the US...but I will be back in Sweden soon, so someone from your neck of the woods would be a HUGE favor the the forum!

Spam is just destroying this forum and Gavinscooter forum. I is getting really tired of it and hope someting can be don about it!

Just chatted with Richard recently, and he said we now have a new spam filter for the forum...just give us a little time after the holidays wrap up, and we will hopefully get this set up to take care of some of the spam issues!

In the meantime, we appreciate your patience while we are doing our best to clear things out and ban false users as they appear :rolleyes:

My apologies - and know you are not the only one getting tired of it! ;)

Jag har nu installerat ett nytt antispam filter som hindrar spambots från att registrera sig. Vi har också 4 nya moderatorer från olika tidszoner så nu tror jag att vi har sett det sista av spamen. När en ny användare registrerar sig måste de svara på en trivial fråga som tex vad är 2+2. Detta är mycket mer effektivt än bildverifikation som uppenbarligen spambots programerarna har hitta vägar att gå runt. Enligt Vbulletin administratörer så är det nya plug-in systemet nästan 100% säkert. Hoppas ni nu får glädje av forumet igen.

jeg antar at det er moden i den første linken du installerte, noe som funker veldig bra :) Jeg slenger med linker til noen andre modder som også er ganske flotte :) ikke alle er spam relatert, men likevel flotte.

Det är moden i första länken jag installerat. Såg idag att en spammare slank igenom ändå. Troligtvis inte en spambot utan en person som manuellt registrerat sig. Jag håller tummarna för att det ska funka som de säger.
